Uzbek Jajim, Central Asia, 3' 3" x 5' 2"

The fusion of modern and tribal art is always a treat to behold but it seldom occurs, certainly not often enough. But this Uzbek flatweave achieves that goal perfectly, with bold bands of solid color, and such beautiful colors. The green is wonderful, as is the clear lemon yellow (unfaded) and two red, one more orange than the other, in addition to a dark indigo blue. The visual appeal of this weaving is obvious and requires no explanation.

The condition is very good, with no holes or re-weaves and the colors are all derived from natural dyes.
