Uzbek or Arab(?) Flat Weave, Central Asia, 19th Century 4’3” x 4’

An intriguing example of flat weave textile art from Central Asia, this weaving is older than most we see.  It is composed of various pieces, not woven as one complete textile, but apparently it has been like this for some time, and not assembled for the ‘market’.

The colors are all derived from natural dyes.  The condition is  ok, there are various small repairs scattered.
