Yomut Turkmen "OkBosh", Central Asia, circa 1900 (or before?), 1'1" x 1'10"
A flat woven, double sided, sumac technique "okbosh" or decorative bag used to decorate the flanks of a camel during a wedding procession, thought to cover the ends of the wooden poles used to erect a yurt.
The condition is not without signs of wear, but no repairs. All the colors are derived from natural dyes.
