Kurd Bag Face, NW Persia, 19th C., 1 '4" x 1' 2"

The lustrous, meaty wool of this weaving is rather surprising. The medallion is unusual with flower heads within the medallion.  With two small animals at the top of the field suggests the NW Persian provenance.

The condition is excellent but there has been some erosion on all sides, thus an edging has been sewn on to protect it, but no holes or repair and complete with all natural dyes.
