Central Anatolian Kilim Fragment, Konya Region(?), 19th Century, 1’11" x 3'

An excellent design that is considered extreemly desireable. The overall pattern is truly eye dazzling. It is featured in early kilims and seen in the literature. One notable example can be found in plate 20 in Peter Davies book Antique Kilims of Anatoli

The colors are sublime with a beautiful light blue in contrast with the deep madder red, aubergine and apicot. This fragment is "fragmented" as well, cut into two piece and sewn together as well as mounted on a linen cloth.

Price - $250 including shipping (domestic USA only)
